❤ I was born in Ottawa, Canada
I have lived in London UK, Whistler BC, Ottawa
Canada and finally settled down in Montreal, Canada where I manage a tree nursery full time 7 months out of the year.
My Fashion History:
❤I was involved with Montreal's emerging underground hip hop and house music movement in the early 90's. I worked in clubs and my crew was into graffiti , dj'ing, skateboarding and breakdancing. I was surrounded with talented artists of all kinds, and I dabbled in street art, bartending, cooking in restaurants and waitering.. but I always have been good on the sewing machine. Thus came my nickname ''Skillvy''
❤ I graduated fashion school in 2002 with a specialization in pattern-making and I worked for many fashion companies learning all the ins and outs of the business.
Working for years sketching, designing, and making specs and patterns for outerwear garments that would be in many chain stores across Canada & the US was very exciting, but not satisfying enough for me, I finally took the leap to go out on my own, and have never looked back....
❤ When you shop at Petalle Creations, you will find hand made items, made with love. My mantra is simple, work hard, take pride in your work, treat every customer like your 1st one, and if it isn't perfect, don't mail it out, start over.
I pride myself on my many repeat customers, as they come back for a reason, and the reason is quality and service.
I am always researching new trends and I pride myself on customer service, so please contact me if you have any questions regarding an item. Our shop is all about shopping for you, your home and your child all under one roof, and knowing every item you buy from us is original was handmade or hand picked vintage with lots of care.
❤ Pom Pom care:
if it gets flat, shake it by the swivel
you can use a fine toothed comb to brush it ( just like hair)
spot clean and blow dry
or professionally dry clean
as we use solid nickel and solid brass hardware, our pom poms don't like water, rain or snow. the hardware is not meant to get wet as it may tarnish
Protect it as you would a fur coat
you can also use a dry shampoo spray to freshen them up if needed
